The international Tobou Organization recently held a virtual event on the Zoom app commemorating the Tobou national cultural day, to which attended a plethora of Tobou tribesmen and women from around the world. The conference was conducted spectacularly, and reflected the extent to which Tobou individuals cherish their culture despite being so far away from home...
The conference enjoyed participation from a number of key Libyan civil society figures who operate both nationally and internationally; members of the science, art, political and religious communities, as well as from important social personalities who showed genuine interest in Tobou culture. Of the key highlights of the event is the considerable number of female attendees. Overall, The number of participants surpassed 20, excluding those who, due to connection issues, have not been able to make it. We had entries from the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, Egypt, Ukraine, and of course Libya.
The ITO will be posting a list of recommendations detailing the attendees’ visions and plans for the future of the community.
All thanks goes to all attendees and participants of the event, and to those who could not attend but were there in spirit.
